The Florida History Speaker Series presents:

"The History of the Tampa Bay Wildlife Refuges" by Dave and Barb Howard, Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges

Join us for a presentation on the history of the three national wildlife refuges -Egmont Key, Passage Key and Pinellas Refuges- from pre-Columbian Indians to their commercial exploitation in the 19th century and establishment at national wildlife refuges.

Speaker: Dave Howard is involved with the Friends of Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuge and Coordinator of the Save Egmont Key Initiative. After retiring, he became a Florida Master Naturalist at the University of Florida. 

The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement Committee presents the Florida History Speaker Series. This program offers fascinating presentations on the cultural 
history of Florida by individuals who are authorities in their fields.  It is cosponsored by the St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation Department.
